If you have never heard of Freecycle, then now is your chance to become acquainted with one of the greatest organizations to exist.
Do you take items to Goodwill or the Salvation Army for donation? Do have items that you mean to donate, but haven't gotten around to it yet? Freecycle could be the perfect place for you!!
I am a proud member of Freecycle. I love it. I can post items that I have to giveaway...people contact me... then come pick up the item. Or I can browse what other people have to offer and get great items...for FREE. Now that is being ecOnomical!
Here is an excerpt from the website...
Welcome! The Freecycle Network™ is made up of 4,677 groups with 6,425,000 members across the globe. It's a grassroots and entirely nonprofit movement of people who are giving (& getting) stuff for free in their own towns. It's all about reuse and keeping good stuff out of landfills. Each local group is moderated by a local volunteer (them's good people). Membership is free.
If you take a moment and think about this, it's the perfect situation. You have something you want to get rid of...someone out there wants it. You don't have to spend money on gas taking the item to donate it. You're not using your very valuable time either. It's not going into a landfill, so that's good for the environment. And you're helping out someone else.
On the flip side, there is no better way to be ecOnomical than by getting things for FREE!!! Okay, so some of you are thinking...I don't want someone else's trash. That's the great thing about Freecycle...it's not trash! The items posted on there for the most part are in great shape.
You would be amazed at what you can find. So...wait no longer...go visit Freecycle and check it out!!!Labels: Freecycle, money saving tips
