Water your plants EcOnomically.

This is one of my favorite ecOnomical tips. Every chance I have, I always set my house plants out in the rain. Granted, it has to be warm enough outside so that the plants don't get shocked. You wouldn't want to do this in the winter.

This has to be the most ecOnomical way I know to water my plants. There are other ways, but I will discuss them at a later time. You don't use electricity and rain water costs nothing!!

Plants LOVE love the rain. They always seem to thrive more when I water them using this method. The fresh air also helps keep them healthy. BUT...you do need to keep in mind their sun tolerance. Just in case you leave them out when it stops raining and the sun comes out. Shade loving plants would not be happy sitting in direct sunlight!busuk

So, my tip for you is:

Water your plants EcOnomically, set them out in the rain!

My Grandma, an avid gardener, always practiced this and told me rain water would do wonders for a suffering houseplant. And even in the shade, they get better light outdoors than in. Great tip!

Great tip, Casey! I don't have any plants inside right now, but will remember this for the future. Thanks for sharing. :)
